lace love

i have been completely obsessed with lace lately!

i can always count on free people and stone cold fox to have lots of pretty lace items!

oh so romantic! ;-)

"I consider lace to be one of the prettiest imitations ever made of the fantasy nature; lace always evokes for me those incomparable designs which the branches and leaves of trees embroider across the sky, and I do not think that any invention of the human spirit could have a more graceful or precise origin."
Coco Chanel, April 29, 1939

i like butterflies :)

The Wawona Tree

The Wawona Tree, also known as the Tunnel Tree, is a giant sequoia that stood 227 ft tall and 90 ft wide in Yosemite National Park.

The tree was cut though in 1881 by two men who were paid $75 for the job. The tree quickly became a popular tourist attraction. Throughout history thousands of pictures were taken of it by tourists.

The tree fell in 1960 under an estimated two-ton load of snow on its crown =(
The giant sequoia is estimated to have been 2,300 years old! It's not known as the Fallen Tunnel Tree.

i want to go to Yosemite National Park and check it out one day!
