The Great Gatsby

"Whenever you feel like criticizing any one... just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantages that you've had."
-- F. Scott Fitzgerald

I started to reread, The Great Gatsby, the other day at the beach. The quote above was on the first page and I absolutely love it and think it is a great philosophy to live by. People can be so nasty and hateful towards each other and lose sight of what is important. For the past year, I have been striving to look at situations and controversies from multiple perspectives in hopes of gaining a better understanding on why people do the things they do.
